Subaru Australia is resuming delivery of all 2.5 litre turbocharged models once again! Whilst there was no official recall notice issued Subaru suspended sales across the entire range of 2.5 turbo'd models, that includes the new Forester XT, WRX, STi and Liberty GT.

Specifically, it was the build dates between the 8th of January and the 5th of April that were mostly affected. Engine replacements all round we here you say, sorry but not this time! The Subaru Technical Department does have a litmus test already rolled out to its dealer network as of last week.

Subaru has also begun to call and mail the 178 customers that are likely to be affected by the engine knock issue, offering a free health check. Should you be one of the unfortunate owners do not dispair, as Subaru will provide you with a loan vehcile and add 5 years engine warranty to your ride. An arrangement that should keep customers smiling and in good spirits about their recent purchase.
